Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has declared the Home Science result under Advertisement No. A-5/E-1/2025, and the headline figure hides an important detail: this list covers Group-1 only. The selected candidates belong to the Assistant Teacher, Trained Graduate Category (Male/Female Branch) — the Group-2 and Group-3 posts, which carry the LT Grade tag in the advertisement, have a separate result still to come because their Main examination’s second paper is yet to be held. The result is wholly provisional, and it is subject to the final decisions of the Allahabad High Court in two writ petitions, so selection is not final until those proceedings conclude. The male branch tells its own story: against 206 vacancies only 55 candidates were found suitable, and the remaining 151 vacancies have been carried forward — a reminder that qualifying is about meeting the standard, not merely about ranking above others. In the female branch, all 163 vacancies were filled. Candidates waiting for marks should note that the Commission will upload marks and category-wise cut-offs only after the Group-2 and Group-3 final result, and it has said RTI applications on this point will not be entertained. For now, selected candidates need to do nothing except wait for the separate notice on original-certificate matching and verification.
