Candidates who were waiting for the next stage of law
admission at Patna University now have a clear date to work to.
The university has published the second merit lists for the
LLB and LLM programmes and has fixed counselling-cum-admission
for 4, 5 and 6 November 2026. Because the first day falls
today, candidates named in the lists should not wait for a
separate call letter or reminder; the notice itself sets the
schedule, the venue and the requirement to attend with all
required documents.

The second round covers two different sessions. The
LLM programme is for session 2026-28, while the three-year
LLB programme is for session 2026-29. Both lists were
prepared after corrections made by applicants on the
SAMARTH Portal, so candidates should check the exact name,
form number and category shown in their own row rather
than relying on an earlier list. The LLM second merit list
contains eight provisionally selected candidates.

Counselling will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
at the Postgraduate Law Department and Patna Law College.
Candidates should reach the venue in good time, carry the
original documents required for admission, and confirm
the programme and session on the list before reporting.
If any detail in the list does not match the application,
the candidate should raise it at the venue with the
documents in hand, rather than assuming the error
will be corrected later.
