State Bank of India (SBI) has released a notification on its official website for the recruitment of Security Officer. This recruitment is for 60 positions. State Bank of India is recruiting experienced officers to strengthen its security organisation across the country. The posts are open to officers who have served in the armed forces or paramilitary forces, and successful candidates may be posted anywhere in India. The 60 vacancies are combined across both grades and are provisional.

Eligibility is counted as on 31 October 2026, and applicants must meet SHAPE-1 or equivalent medical fitness as on the advertisement release date. Manager (Security) requires a graduate degree and service not below Major, or Deputy Commandant in a paramilitary force, with ten years of commissioned or officer service. Deputy Manager (Security) requires a graduate degree and service not below Captain, or Assistant Commandant, with five years of service.

Selection is an online written test followed by interview. The written test carries 200 marks over two hours; only Professional Knowledge marks count toward merit, the other papers are qualifying, and there is no penalty for wrong answers. The interview carries 100 marks, and merit is normalised 70:30 between the written test and interview.

The tentative schedule is call letters and the online exam in December 2026 / January 2027, interview in January–February 2027, and final result in February 2027. Manager (Security) is in MMGS-III with pay scale Rs. 85,920-1,05,820 and Deputy Manager (Security) in MMGS-II with Rs. 64,820-93,960. The 60 vacancies are split as SC 9, ST 4, OBC 16, EWS 6 and UR 25.
