The Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Bihar (RERA Bihar) has invited applications from retired judicial officers for engagement as Adjudicating Officer in Patna. Under Memo No. RERA/Admn./05/2026/1323, dated 6 November 2026, this Bihar RERA vacancy 2026 is for one post under Section 71(1) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. Applications must reach the Authority by email only, up to 2400 hrs on 30 November 2026.
The RERA Adjudicating Officer recruitment 2026 is open to a retired Judicial Officer who has worked as a District Judge and is below 62 years of age as on the last date of submission. The applicant must have no adverse reporting during service, no disciplinary or criminal proceeding pending, and must be in sound health. An affidavit to that effect is required, and the Authority may also consider the ACRs/APARs of the last three years. The selected officer will adjudge compensation under Sections 12, 14, 18 and 19 of the RERA Act and hold inquiries at the RERA Bihar office in Patna.
Pay follows the Pay Minus Pension principle — the last pay drawn is reckoned for fixation and the entire pension is deducted from it. The engagement lasts until the selected candidate attains 65 years of age or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-A), with relevant documents, must be emailed to rera@bihar.gov.in with the subject ‘Application for Adjudicating Officer’. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview or interaction, and no TA/DA will be paid.
