Odisha Public Service Commission has released a notification on its official website for the recruitment of Assistant Section Officer (Group-B), Odisha Secretariat Service Cadre, Home Department. The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited online applications for 340 posts of Assistant Section Officer (Group-B) in the Odisha Secretariat Service Cadre under the Home Department, vide Advertisement No. 15 of 2026-27 (Notice No. 6266/PSC dated 05 November 2026). Online registration opens on 09 November 2026 and the last date to submit the registered online application is 30 November 2026 till 5:00 PM. Selected candidates will be placed in Level-9, Cell-1 with a starting pay of Rs. 35,400 plus dearness and other allowances under the ORSP Rules, 2017.
Of the 340 vacancies (114 for women), 144 are for UR, 38 for SEBC, 81 for SC and 77 for ST candidates; 25 posts are reserved for Persons with Disabilities, 19 for Ex-Servicemen and 3 for Sportspersons. Candidates must be 21 to 42 years old as on 1st January 2026 and must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with adequate knowledge of computer applications. The examination fee is Rs. 700 for most candidates, exempt for SC, ST and PwD, and it is refunded to those who appear in the Preliminary Written Examination.
Selection will be made through a Written Examination and a Skill Test, and the written examination is scheduled for 17 January 2027 (Sunday). The registration and fee-payment link will be available on opsc.gov.in from 09 November 2026; multiple applications through different PPSAN accounts will be rejected.
