The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division-I, has declared the result of the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary levels. The result was declared on 07 November 2026, and scorecards are available for download from 11 AM on the official result portal. The test was conducted by the State Level Empowered Committee, TET, Government of Assam, for Bodo, Garo, Manipuri and Hmar mediums.
The written examination was held on 28 June 2026. Paper I was for Lower Primary (Classes I to V) and Paper II for Upper Primary (Classes VI to VIII). Candidates can check their result only by logging in with the Application Number and Password used in the application form — no roll-number list or merit list has been published. The scorecard shows the candidate’s name, paper, section-wise marks, total marks and qualifying status.
To qualify, General candidates need 90 out of 150 marks in total and 18 out of 30 in Language-1, while SC, ST(P), ST(H), OBC, MOBC and PwD candidates need 83 out of 150 and 15 out of 30 in Language-1; both conditions must be met. The TET certificate is valid for a lifetime. Qualifying the TET does not give a right to appointment — it makes candidates eligible for teacher recruitment in Assam’s elementary schools, which is notified separately.
