District Madhepura, Government of Bihar, has published the Provisional Merit List for the appointment of Fair Price Shop (FPS) Dealers under the Public Distribution System (PDS) on 5 November 2026. The list covers 105 dealer vacancies — 61 in Madhepura subdivision and 44 in Udakishanganj subdivision — against Advertisement No. 01/2026, for which 1,386 applications were received between 30 July and 13 August 2026. The list was approved by the district-level selection committee chaired by District Magistrate Shri Abhishek Ranjan (IAS) and issued under memo no. 957 dated 5 November 2026.

Candidates who find any error in the provisional list can submit written claims or objections at the District Supply Office, Madhepura, from 6 November to 26 November 2026 up to 5:00 pm, and a receipt will be given. The proceedings also record the objection period as 15 working days from publication (5 to 25 November 2026). Each objection will be disposed of with a brief reason, and the final merit list will be published within 15 days of the last date for objections.

The merit list is published block-wise and nagar-wise — separate PDFs for every block and municipal body of both subdivisions are available on the district portal madhepura.nic.in. Candidates should open the PDF of their own block or nagar panchayat and verify their name and details from the official list before acting on it.
