Short Information: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the SSC GD Constable Result 2026 on 12 October 2026 on its official website ssc.gov.in. Candidates who appeared in the examination held on 27 Apr – 30 May 2026 can check their result / merit list / cut-off marks below.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the SSC GD Constable Result 2026 on 12 October 2026 on its official website, ssc.gov.in. The result covers the Constable (GD) in CAPFs and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026, for 25,487 vacancies. Candidates who appeared in the Computer Based Test held from 27 April to 30 May 2026 can now check whether they have been shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST). The result is published as merit-list PDFs, and a candidate confirms shortlisting by finding their roll number in the relevant list. Shortlisting for PET / PST is a stage result, not the final selection — shortlisted candidates still have to go through PET / PST, the Detailed Medical Examination, Document Verification, and then the final merit list.
To check the SSC GD Result 2026, visit the official website at ssc.gov.in and open the Results section. There, click on the link titled Constable (GD) in CAPFs and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026 — Shortlisting of candidates to appear in PET/PST. Open the merit-list PDF for your category and use Ctrl + F to search your roll number in the PDF. Candidates should download and save the PDF for future reference, because the same roll number will be needed at every later stage. If your roll number does not appear in the main lists, do not assume you have not qualified — check List-III and List-IV as well before drawing any conclusion, since SSC has published separate lists for withheld and debarred candidates.
The SSC GD Constable Result 2026 merit list is published in four lists. List-I is the female merit list and List-II is the male merit list — these are the two main shortlisting lists for PET / PST. List-III carries the candidates whose result has been kept withheld: the result of 60 candidates has been kept withheld, and in addition the result of 3 candidates has been kept withheld due to court cases. List-IV carries the candidates debarred by the Commission — the result of 88 debarred candidates has not been processed. A candidate whose roll number is missing from List-I and List-II should therefore check List-III and List-IV to understand the exact position, rather than treating the main lists as the whole story.
There is no single national cut-off for the SSC GD Constable exam. The SSC GD cut off 2026 is fixed separately for each State / UT, category, gender, and area — General, Border, and Naxal / Militancy-affected. The figures published here are the official cut-off marks, the normalised CBE score including NCC bonus where applicable, for the General District Area in 20 large States / UTs. In the female General Area, for example, the UR cut-off stands at 127.61 in Rajasthan, 125.99 in Uttar Pradesh, 120.90 in Delhi, 116.03 in Bihar, and 65.71 in Assam. In the male General Area, the UR cut-off is 126.84 in Rajasthan, 126.14 in Uttar Pradesh, 120.61 in Bihar, and 59.87 in Assam. The Border and Naxal / ESM figures and the remaining States / UTs are given in Annexure-I (female) and Annexure-II (male) of the official write-up. SSF vacancies are filled on an All-India basis, so there is one cut-off per category for SSF (male): UR 146.18, EWS 144.21, OBC 145.56, SC 140.95, ST 135.03, and ESM 100.52. A dash in the tables means the annexure shows no separate row for that category in the General Area, and the 40.00 figure in some EWS rows is the minimum qualifying marks for EWS, 25% of 160 — the cut-off fell to that level because fewer than the required number of candidates scored above it.
After the SSC GD CBT result, the next stage is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST). The PET / PST will be conducted by the CAPFs, and call letters will be issued by the nodal CAPF, the CRPF. The PET / PST dates have not been announced, so shortlisted candidates should keep checking the CRPF website, rect.crpf.gov.in, for the schedule. For PET / PST, candidates must carry the printout of the PET / PST call letter / admit card from the CRPF website, along with every other document named in the call letter. Candidates who claim height / chest relaxation must carry the relaxation certificate in Annexure-IX format — ST candidates may use a valid ST certificate — and female candidates must submit a self-declaration about pregnancy status at reporting. Detailed checking of eligibility documents happens later, at DME / DV, not at PET / PST, but those certificates should still be kept ready.
Out of 21,56,776 candidates who appeared in the CBT, a total of 1,97,408 candidates have been shortlisted for PET / PST. The shortlisting comprises 15,782 female candidates, 1,81,251 male candidates for non-SSF posts, and 375 male candidates for SSF posts. These figures are as per the official notice. Being shortlisted means the candidate has cleared the CBT cut-off for their State / UT, category, gender, and area — it does not by itself mean final selection, because the PET / PST, Detailed Medical Examination, Document Verification, and final merit list still follow. Shortlisted candidates should download the merit-list PDF, keep the official write-up with its cut-off annexures safe, and watch the CRPF website for the PET / PST call letter and schedule.

Full state-wise and area-wise tables for all States / UTs are in Annexure-I (female) and Annexure-II (male) of the official write-up linked in Important Links.
The PET / PST dates have not been announced. The PET / PST will be conducted by the CAPFs, and call letters will be issued by the nodal CAPF, the CRPF. Keep checking the CRPF website (rect.crpf.gov.in) for the schedule.
Carry these to PET / PST:
• Printout of your PET / PST call letter / admit card from the CRPF website.
• Every other document named in the call letter.
• Height / chest relaxation certificate (Annexure-IX format) if you claim that relaxation — ST candidates may use a valid ST certificate.
• Female candidates must submit a self-declaration about pregnancy status at reporting.
Detailed checking of eligibility documents happens later, at DME / DV — not at PET / PST. Keep those certificates ready.
SSC has also published two separate lists. The result of 60 candidates has been kept withheld (List-III). In addition, the result of 3 candidates has been kept withheld due to court cases. The result of 88 candidates debarred by the Commission has not been processed (List-IV). If your roll number is not in List-I or List-II, check List-III and List-IV before drawing any conclusion.
