The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), Sri Vijaya Puram, has invited applications for Postgraduate (MD/MS) courses for the academic session 2026–27. The ANIIMS admission 2026 notice (F.No. 5-1/ANIIMS/Admission/2026-27/), dated 6 November 2026, says the institute has been granted 20 PG seats by the National Medical Commission. Prospectus-cum-Application Forms available from 7 November 2026, and the last date to submit the application form is 17 November 2026.

Of the 20 seats, 10 under the All India Quota will be filled through counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and the remaining 10 under the State Quota through ANIIMS counselling, both on NEET-PG 2026 merit. Only NEET-PG 2026 qualified candidates who are residents of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are eligible for the State Quota seats, with combined merit among local students in Category I (Tribals), Category IIIA (pre-1942 Settlers), Category IIIB (rehabilitation-scheme settlers) and Category IV (locals with 10 years of education in the Islands). Applications are submitted through the ANIIMS website, aniims.andamannicobar.gov.in.

Provisional merit list on 18 November 2026, appeals on 19 November, final merit list on 20 November. The 2nd round of counselling and document verification is on 23 November (joining by 30 November); the 3rd round is on 12 December (joining by 18 December); stray vacancy round, if required, on 24 December; and the academic session commences on 20 November 2026.
