Bihar Vidhan Sabha Sachivalaya, Patna, has invited online applications for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant under Advertisement No. 01/2026. A total of 15 vacancies are open in Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200 plus allowances). Online registration starts on 07 November 2026 at 11:00 AM, and the last date to apply online and pay the fee is 06 December 2026.
The 15 posts are divided as Unreserved 07, EWS 02, SC 04 and EBC 02, including 04 posts reserved for women under the 35% horizontal reservation. Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a Board recognised by the State or Central Government. The age limit as on 01 August 2026 is 18 to 37 years for Unreserved male candidates, 40 years for Unreserved female, BC and EBC candidates, and 42 years for SC and ST candidates, with relaxation for Bihar Government employees, Divyangjan and ex-servicemen as per rules.
Selection will be through a preliminary OMR examination of 100 questions carrying 400 marks in 2 hours, with 4 marks per question and 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer. The paper covers General Studies (50 questions), General Science and Mathematics (20) and Mental Ability and Logical Reasoning (30). Candidates who qualify will appear for a Hindi and English typing test at 30 words per minute. The application fee is Rs. 600 for most candidates and Rs. 150 for SC/ST (Bihar domicile), 40% or more Divyangjan and all Bihar-domicile women.
