NTA Examination Centre Empanelment 2026 — Online Applications Invited
NTA — National Testing Agency (NTA)
NTA has invited online applications from eligible institutions and organisations for empanelment of Examination Centres for the conduct of NTA examinations in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and Pen and Paper Test (PPT) mode, for examinations such as JEE (Main), NEET (UG), UGC-NET and CUET (UG & PG) across 500-plus cities.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for empanelment of Examination Centres for NTA examinations in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and Pen and Paper Test (PPT) mode. The public notice was issued on 07 November 2026, and applications are invited from 07 November to 06 December 2026 through the EoI portal at eoi.nta.gov.in. NTA conducts examinations such as JEE (Main), NEET (UG), UGC-NET and CUET (UG and PG) across more than 500 cities in India, and empanelled centres will host these examinations as per NTA requirements.
Schools, colleges and universities, Institutes of National Importance, polytechnics and ITIs, government training centres, and empanelled CBT service providers can apply, provided they own, operate or have legally enforceable use-rights over a suitable facility. A CBT centre must have at least 285 fully-functional workstations including buffer per shift, while a PPT centre needs at least 250 candidate seats. Centres must meet NTA’s specifications for rooms, power backup, IT infrastructure, CCTV security, accessibility for PwBD candidates and parking, and must be available on Saturdays, Sundays and select weekdays through the year.
Empanelment will initially be for one year, extendable based on performance, candidate feedback and audit findings. Financial terms will be communicated separately, and empanelment does not guarantee allotment of any examination or a minimum number of candidates. Applications pass through four stages — documentary evaluation, photo and video evaluation, physical inspection where applicable, and the empanelment decision. No application fee is stated in the notice.
