The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for empanelment of Translation Reviewers for its examinations, through a corrigendum issued on 07 November 2026. Applications are now accepted on a continuous basis, with no closing date, until further notice, and will be evaluated periodically as and when required by NTA. The corrigendum updates the Expression of Interest (EoI) dated 10 August 2026, and a revised EoI (Version 2) is attached with the notice.
Applicants must be Indian citizens ordinarily resident in India for the preceding 10 years, aged between 25 and 65 years as on the date of application. A Master’s degree or higher in the relevant subject domain is required, along with demonstrated proficiency in English and the target language and at least five years’ professional experience in teaching or academic translation. Reviewers will work in 13 languages — English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Empanelment will be valid for three years from the empanelment letter, with an annual review.
Selection is based on a 100-mark evaluation — subject-domain qualification, language proficiency, a sample task and relevant experience, followed by an interview — with minimum 70 marks and at least 20 out of 40 in the sample task. The sample task is an online, time-bound exercise of 10 to 15 specimen items of about 90 minutes.
