The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj, has released the provisional answer key for the UP Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) 2026 on 5 November 2026. The master question set key is available on the Commission’s official website, upessc.up.gov.in. The Special TET examination was held on 3 November 2026 in two shifts at six divisional headquarters — Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Agra — for Paper 1 (Primary, Classes 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (Upper Primary, Classes 6 to 8). The test is held under Advertisement No. 03/2026 for in-service teachers and RCI-registered special educators, and is separate from the regular UPTET.

Each paper carries 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks, with one mark for every correct answer and no negative marking, so candidates can add up their correct responses to estimate their score. The qualifying marks are 90 out of 150 for General candidates and 82 out of 150 for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and other reserved categories.

Candidates who find any discrepancy in the provisional key can raise objections online till 12 November 2026, 11:59 PM, by paying Rs 100 for each question challenged. The objection facility is available only through the official portal, and the fee is non-refundable even if the objection is accepted. UPESSC will publish the final answer key after reviewing the objections, and the result will be prepared on the basis of the final key.
