District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Samastipur, Government of Bihar, has published the provisional scrutiny list for the empanelment of Support Persons on a temporary/ad-hoc basis under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the POCSO Rules, 2020, on 5 November 2026. Of the 40 applications received against the advertisement dated 20 June 2026, 9 were found correct and 31 defective. The list is available on the district portal samastipur.nic.in and stays on the portal till 30 November 2026.

The scrutiny was done by the district selection committee in its meeting on 4 November 2026, chaired by the Additional District and Sessions Judge VI-cum-Special Judge (POCSO), Samastipur, and forwarded under memo no. 950 dated 4 November 2026. The 9 candidates found correct are Vinita Kumari, Md. Imteyaz Ahmad, Pratibha Kiran, Chandni Kumari, Krishna Murari Kumar, Alisha Kumari, Kumari Nirmala Rai, Ruby Kumari and Abhimanyu Kumar — 6 women and 3 men. A separate rejected list, with the reason for each of the 31 defective applications, is also published on the portal.
